I’m a China-based bioethics and family support practitioner with over a decade of experience working with vulnerable pregnancies and family-related issues. My work focuses on the cultural, ethical, and demographic roots of East Asia’s fertility decline, with particular interest in life ethics, family structures, and population narratives.

I am committed to transforming insights gained from frontline experience into public knowledge, with the hope of inspiring deeper reflection on critical yet often overlooked dimensions within demographic and fertility research.

My Chinese name is Fan Xin(范鑫), and my English-speaking friends call me Jonny.

I launched a non-profit project in 2012 and later led a volunteer team in 2018 to help create a demonstration hospital focused on providing care and support for women experiencing pregnancy loss.

In early 2025, I founded the website “Help Mama” to integrate social resources across China and provide support for women facing challenges during pregnancy. It is the first nationwide platform in China dedicated to providing comprehensive support for pregnant women.

At the beginning of 2026, I launched a specialized art exhibition called “When Life is Within Me” to promote healthy and positive values surrounding birth and existence. It is my hope to share this vision with audiences in more cities in the future.

In January 2026, I participated in the first Global Fertility Crisis Forum held in Hong Kong, connecting with top demographers and experts from across the globe.

In March 2026, I collaborated with the YuWa Population Research Institute as a Guest Researcher on the China Fertility Report. Together, we aimed to drive public attention toward the critical issue of fertility damage and reproductive health in China.

I connect people to achieve things that truly matter.

To be continued.
